Hi, I'm Amanda

I always knew I wanted to be a teacher.

As a child, I would set up a classroom in my basement and teach my stuffed animals. My mom saw something in me early on, taking me to teacher stores, letting me gather supplies, and nurturing that instinct to guide and create.

I went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, but after just one day in the public school system, I knew it wasn’t the path for me.

Instead, I followed a different route, one that still honored my desire to teach, just in a more different way. I earned a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology and became a personal trainer and yoga instructor, supporting people through movement, awareness, and growth.

When I met my husband, everything expanded.

He had a natural gift with children and had started a small program in New York City rooted in art, yoga, meditation, and nature. That program—Spark—is now in its 11th year. From the beginning, I was by his side, helping build it, shape it, and teach within it.

When we left NYC for Pennsylvania, something deeper called to me.

I felt a strong pull to create a forest-based program for children—something rooted in the land, in rhythm, and in real connection. From that vision, Spark Nature was born: a weekly outdoor program where children explore, create, and grow through direct experience.

This work has become a true extension of my heart—something I hold alongside raising my own three children.

At the core of everything I create are the same guiding principles: collaboration, community, connection, creativity, life skills, respect, reverence, and reciprocity.

Since then, I’ve helped expand our offerings even further—co-creating programs like carpentry and sewing, and developing curriculum that balances structure with flow.

My work is rooted in a deep devotion to children, to families, and to building spaces that feel meaningful, sustainable, and alive.

And now, I support others in doing the same.

The Build & Grow Path (5 Sessions)

For those who want deeper support as they bring their program fully to life.

This is a more hands-on container where we not only create the foundation—but refine, troubleshoot, and support you as things unfold in real time.

Across five sessions, we’ll:
– Build and refine your full program structure
– Develop curriculum and weekly flow ideas
– Work through logistics, pricing, and enrollment
– Navigate challenges as they arise
– Support you in creating something sustainable and aligned
